Our Story

So, a bit of background on the team. Katie is a mum of 3 and after over 20 years in retail decided to pursue her passion. While working full time she also managed a busy household. A disorganised and unclean house was a stress she could do without . She took solace in sorting through toys, clothes, food, paperwork in a household that seemed to generate enormous amounts of stuff!

It was a constant battle to keep on top of daily chores but it was made easier with well organised cupboards, neatly labeled drawers, containers and beautifully laid out and stylish homewares. Her busy lifestyle meant that she couldn't waste energy looking for items or stressing about the house.

Sort Your Home was founded to help others who are struggling to find the time to declutter, organise and style their home.

I'm Mike, I'm Katie's husband and after 15 years in retail, in 2019 I bought a run down house in Manchester that needed a lot of work doing. I had a tiny budget so had to do the vast majority of the work myself. It was a steep learning curve but one that I thoroughly enjoyed. So much so, I've since renovated 3 other houses. 2 were rented out on Airbnb and Booking.com where they achieved the highest ratings of guest favourite and "superb". (bragger!). I have worked as a handyman inbetween house renos, can fix most things and create great storage solutions for those homes that need it.
