These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Sort Your Home (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “your”). By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services
Sort Your Home provides professional home organisation, decluttering, handyman and related services to help clients organise and improve their living spaces.
Services may include but are not limited to:

Decluttering and organising rooms, wardrobes, kitchens, and storage areas

House Moving preparation or unpacking support
-
Advice on storage systems and organisation solutions
-
General home organisation consultation
The exact scope of work will be agreed prior to the start of each project.
Sort Your Home does not provide cleaning, electrical work, plumbing, structural work, or heavy lifting beyond reasonable limits.
2. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:

Be present or available during the session to make decisions regarding possessions where required

Provide safe and reasonable access to the property
-
Ensure pets, children, or other household members do not interfere with the work environment

Make final decisions on what items to keep, donate, sell, or dispose of
All decisions regarding possessions remain the responsibility of the client.

3. Estimates
Any time or cost estimates provided are based on previous experience with similar projects and are provided in good faith.
Actual time required may vary depending on:

Volume of belongings
-
Decision-making speed
-
Condition of the space
Clients will only be charged for the actual time spent working unless otherwise agreed.

4. Fees and Payment
Fees for services will be agreed in advance.
Payment terms:

A £50 deposit will be required before the day work commences
-
Final Payment will be required on completion of services. Same day payment is required.

Payment method is via bank transfer
-
Any additional agreed expenses (storage products, disposal costs, etc.) will be charged separately
Late payments may incur additional charges.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule:

More than 48 hours’ notice: no charge
-
Less than 48 hours’ notice: we reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the session fee
We reserve the right to reschedule appointments in cases of illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances.

6. Handling of Client Property
We take great care when handling client belongings. However:

Clients remain responsible for identifying valuable, fragile, or sentimental items

Sort Your Home cannot be held responsible for accidental damage unless caused by negligence
-
We are not responsible for the value or resale potential of items that are discarded, donated, or sold

7. Donations and Disposal
Where items are removed for donation or recycling:

We will make reasonable efforts to donate or recycle responsibly
-
We cannot guarantee the destination of donated items once they leave the client’s property.

8. Confidentiality
We respect your privacy.
Any information seen or shared during our work in your home will remain strictly confidential and will not be shared with third parties without permission.
Before-and-after photographs may be used for marketing purposes only with your explicit consent.

9. Health and Safety
We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if:

The working environment is unsafe
-
Hazardous materials are present
-
Behaviour towards staff is abusive or inappropriate

10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sort Your Home will not be liable for:

Loss or damage to items resulting from decisions made by the client
-
Consequential or indirect losses arising from the use of our services
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Data Protection
We handle personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.
Your information will only be used to deliver our services and communicate with you.
​
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
